(top) Dion Calheta and Joe White both put on their Storm Trooper outfits to greet people going to the New Bedford post office on Pleasant St. in celebration of the release of the Star Wars stamps commemorating 30 years since the release of the first movie. Ezra Schudrich, 2, leaves the Storm Troopers behind as he leaves the post office with lightsaber in hand and Jedi robe on.
(left) Veterans and volunteers place American flags at the grave stones of veterans at the Pine Grove cemetary in the north end of New Bedford in preparation for memorial day. With the help of a walking stick, Stephen Poore, makes his way with flags in hand as he places flags at the graves os fellow veterans. Mr. Poore, a Marine, was shot in the leg during one of the final battles in Vietnam.
