Sonia Alves Soares and her daughter Tatiana Soares, 2, find themselves in a predicament. Mrs. Soares was one of the illegal immigrants that were caught during the Michael Bianco Inc. raid in March that saw over 360 illegal immigrants detained by Federal authorities. Mrs. Soares has been given a deportation date of Aug. 31 to leave the United States and return to Portugal where she was born. She has written a letter to President Bush asking him to intervene in the process.
