Joseph Carrera makes his way out of one of the Mackerel filled tanks aboard the F/V Crystal Sea as the ship unloads its cargo. Norpel Corp. from New Bedford starts full processing of Mackerel as the season gets into full swing. The plant located on Rt. 6 just before the bridge is one of the largest pelagic processing companies in the USA and sells its Mackerel to many countries around the world.
