I will be at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island in South Carolina documenting the process of becoming a marine.  I hope to be able to capture many of the various arduous training that new recruits undergo during their thirteen week quest in becoming marines.  Parris Island is where all male recruits living east of the Mississippi River (unless by special request) and all female recruits from all over the US receive their initial training.  Even though there are two current active wars and a weak economy, recruitment has not been effected.  Actually, recruiting numbers have increased, with more young men and women looking toward the military for answers.
