A new inmate writes a letter from inside the #19 cell at the Ash Street Jail the original locking mechanism still working.  The Bristol County Jail & House of Correction on Ash Street in New Bedford, MA was built in 1829 and is the oldest operating jail in America.  Most of the over 200 prisoners in the facility are awaiting their trial.  This is an ongoing project im working on.
