Taiyah Mixon, 8, takes a closer look at a horseshoe crab under a loupe. The Workers Education Project is holding a Family Literacy Day event for its students and their children at Ocean Explorium in downtown New Bedford. This happens to be a day that New Bedford Public Schools elementary and middle schools giving an opportunity for parents and students to partake in the activities together.
