Otilia Martins, 80, relives the day she threw apples and mangoes in an attempt to stop a gunman from robbing Continental Market in the north end of New Bedford. As the gunman started to flee Mrs. Martins threw the fruit at him before being hit in the back of the head with the gun. Police caught the robber later the same day.
