John Medeiros, an Army veteran and volunteer responsible for the American flags in Fairhaven, installs a new flag to be flown at half-mast in front of Fairhaven High School in memory of Fairhaven marine Lance Cpl. Matthew R. Rodriguez, 19, who was killed in Afghanistan wednesday. Mr. Rodriguez attended Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School but lived in Fairhaven.
