Pedestrians fight the frigid air (18F, -8C) as they make their way up Pleasant Street under the pink staging erected in front of the New Bedford Art Museum and the downtown police station which are undergoing repairs. The staging was painted pink by Lanco Scaffolding in honor of one of the founding members who recently passed away due to cancer.
