George Lawrence is seen hanging a Lantana from the rafters of the greenhouse at Lawrence Greenhouses in New Bedford, as seen through the windows of the greenhouse which are painted with a white latex chalk to protect the flowers from direct sunlight. The Lawerence Greenhouses have been in the family for over sixty years and this year marks the fortieth year Mr. Lawrence has owned the Greenhouses which grow all of the flowers they sell.
