John Barreira sands, scrapes and removes the film of wax that was put across all of the marble in the New Bedford public library downtown many years ago.  Mr. Barreira, custodian for the city of New Bedford, has taken it upon himself to complete this project between his regular duties and restore the marble to it's original state when the building was completed in 1852.
