Artist Deborah Macy enjoys a good laugh at something David says as he works on his painting.  David Danis, who has Down syndrome, attends his weekly art class with local artist Deborah Macy at her studio in New Bedford, MA.
Whaling Museum's Melanie Correia, exhibition manager, and D. Jordan Berson, Director of Collections, help load a painting of the whaling ship Niger being sent for restoration. This painting along with a series of other paintings of whale ships date to the late 1800's and were part of a panorama which told the journey of the whale ship Niger before it was cut into a series of panels (this being one of them) in 1958.
