CASUALTIES OF WAR

The Iraq war began on March 20, 2003, years later it has taken its toll on American families.  As the figure of American soldiers killed in the war continues to rise, the acceptance of the war continues to decline.  The steady stream of funerals for those killed in an unpopular war is a constant reminder to the American people of the consequence that the war in Iraq has had back home.
As the war winds into its seventh year, it has become a war of statistics and figures with the media paying less attention to the war, while families of those who were killed in Iraq are left to deal with the aftermath.
