Maria Mercado is seen through the eye opening of a carnaval mask worn during mardi-gras celebrations in her native Puerto Rico. An event organized by the Women's Fund held at Keith Middle School was held to celebrate international women's day. They were a little late because Interational Women's day actually happens on March 8th, but at least they held it!
