Step It Up rally to reduce greenhouse emissions took place at the Whaling Museum to try to bring awareness to the current state of the environment and what needs to be done to cut carbon emissions. Kirsten Thuestad, ORR 16 right, yells for motorists to honk in support as she and fellow ORR student, Wendy Lopes, hold up a Step it Up sign urging motorists to cut carbon emissions at the intersection of Union St. and RT18 in New Bedford.
