Shelli Costa, top left, an instructor with the Westport River Watershed Alliance has students from the Westport Middle School hold a line of yarn in order to demonstrate how energy is connected in a web amongst different animals in the ocean. Children from the Westport Middle School get hands on with science with the assistance of members of the Westport River Watershed Alliance. The students collected an observed speciments of plankton that they collected from the Westport River near the head of Westport.
