Father Dominic, right, and other Franciscan Friars from the Our Lady's Chapel on Pleasant St. in downtown New Bedford offer blessings to new friar Friar Lawrence who was born in Texas but today begins his trip to a Franciscan house near Cassini, Italy where he will study for the next 4 to 5 years in his quest to become ordained. This is his first trip out of the country.
