Ashley Davis, a volunteer, rubs noses with Trot one of the over 50 cats that were abandoned recently. C.A.R.E. (Center for Animal Rescue and Education) on Hathaway Road in New Bedford claims that more cats are being dropped off/abandoned than ever before as the holiday season approaches.
